This morning my air fryer caught fire on the stove… and the strangest thing is, I wasn’t even cooking at the time! 😲 It was just on. Thank goodness I was nearby and was able to turn it off in time 😢
The cause of the fire was simpler than you might imagine 😨 I’m telling you so you can be vigilant and take care of your appliances. One mistake can end in tragedy 😢 More details in the first comment 👇
This morning I almost experienced a real disaster in my kitchen. I wanted to make breakfast with my air fryer, as I’ve done many times before. But suddenly, I noticed a strange smell… and immediately after, I saw a fire inside the appliance!
Thank God I was nearby, so I turned it off right away and managed to get the fire under control. But I was stunned to think about what would have happened if I had walked away for a few minutes.

And you know what caused it? Something as simple as dirt. Grease and crumbs that hadn’t been cleaned in a while—I always left them „for later.” And that’s exactly what lit the flames.
That’s why I want to share with you some basic rules that I will now follow to the letter. I hope you will too:
🔹 Don’t leave the appliance unattended.
Even if it has an automatic shut-off function, that’s no excuse to leave it running unattended. Emergencies don’t give warning, and you can only react quickly if you’re nearby.
🔹 Avoid using baking paper.
It can block air circulation, overheat, and even catch fire. Use only accessories designed for air fryers.
🔹 Clean it after every use.
It’s not just about hygiene. Grease and food scraps can become a real hazard, as they happened to me. Don’t leave it „for later.”
🔹 Let it cool before storing.
Never place it hot inside a piece of furniture or in a closed space. Always wait for it to cool completely.
