At the zoo, a little girl was happily playing with an otter, delighting everyone, until a zookeeper approached and insisted, „You should take your daughter to the doctor.”

At the zoo, a little girl laughed with joy as she gently stroked an otter, letting her fingers run through the animal’s damp fur, which curiously rubbed against her hand. The scene melted the hearts of all who watched.

Suddenly, a zookeeper approached the parents and said in a low voice,

„You should take your daughter to the doctor… as soon as possible.”

That morning, the family had visited a petting zoo, a magical place where children could feed, touch, and play with the animals. For the little girl, it was like stepping into a dream.

„Mom, look at that giant tortoise!” she exclaimed, running from one enclosure to another.

„Dad, can we have rabbits like these? They’re so soft!”

The parents smiled, happy to see her so full of enthusiasm.

When they reached the otter habitat, the little girl stopped abruptly, her eyes sparkling.

„Mom, look!” It’s coming towards me!

An otter swam to the shore, climbed onto a rock, and stretched out its tiny paws. The little girl crouched down, laughing, and began to stroke its shiny fur. The otter didn’t move away; on the contrary, it came closer, brushing against her knee and curiously twitching its whiskers.

Passersby stopped to watch the tender scene. The air filled with smiles and giggles.

Suddenly, the otter changed its demeanor. It stopped playing and began to pace nervously in circles, then returned to the little girl. It touched her tummy with a paw, submerged in the water, and reappeared, anxiously pawing at the rock.

„It looks tired,” laughed the father.

„Come on, honey, let’s go see the other animals,” suggested the mother.

As they walked away, a man in a zoo uniform hurried up to them.

“Excuse me,” he said kindly, “were you just in the otter enclosure with Luna?”

“Yes,” the mother replied, smiling. “She’s adorable.”

The man nodded, but his face showed some concern.

“Please don’t be alarmed,” he murmured, “but I would recommend taking your daughter to the doctor… just as a precaution.”

The parents tensed.

“What? Why? Does it have something to do with the otter?”

The caretaker shook his head.

“No, not at all. It’s just that… Luna is very special. She’s been with us for years and has a rare ability. Whenever a visitor, especially a child, wasn’t feeling well, she reacted exactly like she did today.”

The mother paled.

“Sick? What do you mean?”

The man hesitated for a moment and then spoke softly:

“There was a child a while ago…” Luna behaved just as she did today: sniffing, spinning in circles, touching her belly. Later, the doctors discovered she had an early-stage tumor. Somehow… it seems she can sense things we can’t.

The parents were speechless. They wanted to believe it was a coincidence, but the fear remained. The next morning, they took the little girl to the hospital.

After a thorough examination, the doctor entered the room with a serious but calm expression.

„You did well to come,” he said. „We detected the disease very early. We can begin treatment immediately.”

Weeks later, when the little girl began to recover, the family returned to the zoo.

The little girl ran toward the otter enclosure. Luna swam to the rock, gently splashing the water around her. The girl leaned down, smiling, and whispered:

„Thank you, Luna.”
