Sharon could hardly believe it: she had actually won tickets to a concert!
She hadn’t felt so free in years, because life in her small town had accustomed her to routine rather than adventure.
But now, with that ticket in hand, she had the feeling that this evening could offer her so much more than music.
The morning of the concert, she was sitting in the kitchen when the phone began to ring. An unknown number appeared on the screen. She hesitated for a moment, then answered.
„Good morning! Sharon?” The voice on the other end was cheerful and energetic.
„Yes, it’s Sharon.” She wondered why she was receiving that call.
„This is John from the morning show!” Congratulations, you won tickets to our concert!” Sharon burst into laughter, her heart beating faster.
It truly was her lucky day. „And is there anyone you’d like to say hello to?” John asked cheerfully.
“Uh… maybe my mom,” Sharon replied. But suddenly, in her thoughts, she found herself at someone else’s house: a stranger she’d met on the bus months earlier.
He’d saved her from an unpleasant situation, without ever revealing his name. She’d never forgotten him since.
“Maybe I’ll see him again tonight,” Sharon thought as she packed her suitcase. This idea, crazy as it was, never left her.
Later, her mother, Jenna, asked her, frowning, “Are you really sure you want to go alone?” You could sell tickets and get a good price.
But Sharon knew she wanted to experience the concert. This was her chance to try something new. “No, Mom. This time I’m just trying it for myself.”
Then he headed toward the city, filled with excitement. However, soon after his arrival, the adventure took a strange turn: a friendly stranger offered to help him, then disappeared with his suitcase.
The only thing he had left was his concert ticket.
She was momentarily surprised, but quickly recovered.
„I won’t let this stop me,” he whispered, heading purposefully toward the concert. It was his night, and nothing was going to stop him from experiencing such an exceptional evening.
