I met my husband and his lover at the airport and decided to follow them to Paris.

My world fell apart at the airport.
There, amid the bustle of travelers and loudspeaker announcements, I discovered my husband with another woman.

But what seemed like the end of everything was actually the beginning. A chance encounter with a handsome pilot with a genuine smile changed the course of my life, leading me to a whirlwind romance in Paris.

But deep down… can a love born from pain last?

Brian and I were on the verge of collapse, but I hadn’t wanted to see it. Still, I had hope. So, with a ticket to Paris in hand, I resolutely made my way through the airport crowd, dreaming of rekindling our passion in the city of love.

Until I saw him.
He wasn’t alone.

A young woman was walking beside him, and her closeness spoke volumes than he would ever admit.

My heart stopped.

„Brian!” I exclaimed, incredulous.

He turned, and his expression quickly went from astonishment to anger.

He let go of the stranger’s hand and walked over.

„What are you doing here, Ava?” he asked, frowning.

„I wanted to surprise you… spend some time together in Paris,” I replied, my voice cracking as my excitement crumbled.

He pushed me out of the way, annoyed.

„This isn’t the time. It’s a business trip,” he said sharply, snatching the ticket from me and tearing it up without hesitation.

„And don’t jump to conclusions. She’s just a colleague. Go home.”

Tears sprang to my eyes.

„I thought we were still trying to save our relationship…”

„It was a mistake. Go.”

He walked away without looking back, taking it with him.

I slumped next to my suitcase, torn apart inside. That’s when I heard a soft voice:

„Are you okay?”

I looked up.
Kind eyes looked at me. He was wearing a pilot’s uniform. His mere presence was a relief.

He listened to my story and, without thinking, offered me a seat in first class.

„Why are you doing this?” I asked, puzzled.

„Because we all deserve a second chance,” he replied with a warm smile.

I accepted. Maybe Paris could heal my wounds.

A new flight, a new life

From my seat in first class, I took a deep breath. For the first time in a long time, I felt at peace… until Brian appeared.

„You here?” he whispered angrily.

I told him about Jack’s invitation. His face flamed with rage.
Luckily, Jack arrived right away.

„She’s here because I invited her,” he said firmly, forcing Brian back to his seat in economy class.

Later, Brian returned.

His breath reeked of cheap alcohol. But his words hurt more:

„Do you think you’ve won? As soon as we land, I’ll cancel all your cards. We’ll see how long you last without money.”

Before I could react, a flight attendant pulled him aside. Jack returned to my side.

„You won’t be alone in Paris. You can stay at my hotel. I’ll take care of everything.”
