He welcomed her without question. He offered her hot soup, wrapped her in soft blankets, and gave her something Nastia hadn’t felt in a long time: security.
At dawn, with a broken voice and still wet eyes, Nastia told him her whole story. Her childhood without parents, her grandmother’s tenderness, and the nightmare she lived through with Sasha.
Antonina listened with an open heart. And then, she promised that nothing and no one would ever hurt her again.
She called her son, Grigory.
A government official, Grigory was going through his own grief: a recent divorce and the exhausting routine. At first, he was skeptical. But upon meeting Nastia and hearing her story, something in him changed. He could no longer look away.
He began to investigate and discovered what no one had had the courage to expose: Sasha was involved in shady business dealings, corruption, and violence, all hidden behind the perfect facade of his powerful family.
Grigory made a decision.

He went straight to Sasha’s summer villa. Sasha was arrogant and mocking. But Grigory stood his ground. When Sasha threatened to take the baby away from Nastia, he wasn’t intimidated.
Instead of confronting him, he went straight to the source of power: Sasha’s father.
With evidence in hand, he confronted him. He presented every document, every testimony, and gave him only one choice: do the right thing or face public scandal.
Shocked and cornered, the tycoon agreed. Nastia would get her papers, legal protection, and financial resources. Sasha would never be able to get close again.
When Grigory returned with the news, Nastia collapsed in his arms. She cried. She laughed. She breathed for the first time in a long time. That night, Antonina baked cherry pies, and finally, the kitchen was filled with laughter.
But uncertainties remained: how would she cope with a baby and no job?
Antonina, though worried, said nothing. Grigory did. He proposed an idea: to search for Nastia’s relatives. Perhaps, somewhere, a part of her story remained undiscovered.
Nastia hesitated. She had dreamed of having a family all her life. What if there really was someone out there?
Grigory promised her she wouldn’t be alone. They would search together.
And so, when the sun rose the next day, Nastia looked out the window with one hand on her stomach. She knew the journey wasn’t over. But for the first time, she felt hope.
And in that moment, she understood that, perhaps, this was the true beginning.
