Husband cheats on wife with his secretary, but karma backfires

Shirley’s life falls apart when she sees her husband, Brody, openly flirting with his secretary, Lila, in their office.

After Brody threatens to divorce her and take everything away from her, Shirley finds herself on the streets, homeless and completely desperate.

However, someone will soon come into her life and everything will change.

Shirley watched in disbelief as her husband, Brody, shamelessly flirted with his secretary, Lila, in their office.

Her hands began to shake and the spoons she was holding fell to the floor, but they didn’t even notice her presence.

„Brody, what’s going on here?” Shirley asked, her voice piercing the silence of the office.

Brody pretended not to notice, replying, „What, Shirley? We’re just talking about work.”

„Is that how you talk about work?” Shirley retorted, angrily in her voice. “By putting your hands up her skirt? In front of everyone?”

“Don’t make a scene,” Brody warned, but Shirley wasn’t going to budge.

“We need to talk. In private. Now!” she ordered.

Brody was about to explode. “You’re not in charge. I’m filing for divorce today. And I’m taking the house.”

“You can’t take my house. It was my parents’. You have no right!” Shirley said.

Brody smiled contemptuously. “Don’t forget, you’re married to a lawyer. You’ll see what happens. I’ll bring Lila in, and we’ll celebrate on every surface of every room.”

Shocked and hurt, Shirley couldn’t even respond as Brody pushed her wedding ring into the cake she’d brought to share with him.

“Maybe you can sell it for a dog house,” he scoffed, walking away with Lila.

Shirley stood there, stunned, surrounded by whispers of sympathy. Later, alone in a cheap hotel room, she couldn’t hold back the tears, thinking about her relationship with Brody.

How could the man she’d promised to spend her whole life with have become a stranger? Was it really her fault that Brody had turned to Lila?

Overwhelmed by emotions, she hit her pillow in an attempt to release the anger and hurt, when someone knocked on the door. Expecting it to be a hotel employee, she opened it, and to her surprise, she found an unfamiliar man standing there.

“I heard… I thought I heard a cry for help,” he stammered.

“You heard wrong. Unless you can help me get my house back from my husband who wants a divorce, go away,” Shirley growled, bitterness in her voice.

The man raised an eyebrow, surprised by her harshness. He looked her up and down, then said, “I can’t help you with this. But now I understand why your husband wants to leave you.” And she turned to leave.

Furious, Shirley followed him into his room, determined not to let his words go. “What did you say?” she asked, blocking his entrance.

The man tried to justify himself. “I was worried about the noise.”

“I know exactly what you meant!” she retorted. “I may not look perfect, but you have no right to judge me.”

The man nodded, visibly regretting his words. “You’re right. You don’t deserve this.”

Shirley was taken aback, her anger subsiding, and his words struck her deeply.

But before she could respond, he quickly pulled away and slammed the door shut, leaving her no chance to respond.

“Wait! I’m not done yelling at you!” Shirley yelled, kicking the door, hurting her foot.

The next day, she limped into the office, still lost in thought over the unknown man’s words. Suddenly, she remembered: Mr. Williams was coming today!

“Great, just what I needed, a new boss,” she muttered, sitting down.

“Well, your new boss is already here,” said a voice behind her, an oddly familiar voice that was the last thing she expected to hear. “You must be my kind and helpful secretary, Shirley.”

Shirley froze, slowly turning in her chair and realizing that the man she had argued with the day before was indeed her new boss: Mr. Williams!

She was confused, finding herself face to face with Nathan after the argument. “I apologize for yesterday,” she began, but Nathan wouldn’t listen to her apology.

“Your behavior was unacceptable. I expect more from my employees,” he interrupted firmly. “I need the Richardson v. Richardson case file. Now,” he ordered, stepping into her office.

Mortified, Shirley accepted the reprimand and began searching for the file, rummaging through the messy folders. In her haste, she bumped into a pile of files that scattered everywhere, drawing Nathan’s critical gaze.

“What have you done? I asked for a file, not to scatter it all over the floor,” he said, stepping closer to her.

“I… here it is,” Shirley said, handing him the documents, her cheeks burning with embarrassment.
