I met my ex-boyfriend who dumped me because I wasn’t “good enough”. He dated me and my revenge was brutal.

Hi, my name is Nikki, and today I want to tell you a story about how sometimes karma just needs a little push to get back on track.

It was a cool, clear evening when I happened to see Marek, my ex-boyfriend, at one of the most elegant restaurants in the city.

He was sitting there, dressed in a perfectly tailored suit, with a refined woman I had never seen before.

A wave of memories washed over me, mixed with a bitter aftertaste, as I remembered his words, five years earlier, when he called off our engagement.

“You’re just not good enough for me,” he said, shortly after getting the promotion he had always wanted. He was looking for someone who would better fit into his new, sophisticated lifestyle.

The pain of that moment was enormous, but in time I found my way and left it all behind.

Yet seeing him that night—so calm, confident, and content—made me make a decision. The desire to turn this evening into an unforgettable occasion for revenge became too strong to ignore.

First, I sent a bottle of the finest champagne to his table, accompanied by a thin note:
“For Marek, who always settles for second best.”

When the waiter placed the bottle on the table and handed him the note, I saw his face harden and a deep blush rise to his cheeks.

His companion, visibly surprised, shot him a questioning look, but Marek only stammered an embarrassed apology.

But that still wasn’t enough. I decided to go further. I ordered an appetizer that I knew Marek was allergic to, and attached another note:

“Just a reminder of what you can never have.”

When the waiter placed the plate in front of him, I saw his face transform into an expression of shock and discomfort.

His companion, Clara, became more and more nervous, while Marek tried to understand what was going on.

And the icing on the cake was my friend Sarah, who happened to be nearby. She entered the restaurant and greeted Marek in a loud voice:

“Marek! What a surprise! And your girlfriend? Did she finally agree to the open relationship?”

Clara, now clearly irritated, jumped up, fixed him with a cold look and left the restaurant without saying a word.

Finally, I couldn’t resist the temptation to walk over to his table, smile as sweetly as I could and look him straight in the eyes.

“Hi, Marek,” I said softly, “it seems I wasn’t ‘not enough’ after all, was I?”

With a sense of triumph I turned and walked out of the restaurant, my head held high and my heart full of satisfaction.

A few days later I learned that Clara had left Marek. Revenge was sweet – especially when served with a generous dose of humiliation.
