Passersby saw a girl on the street and called the police: the girl told the officer that voices had told her to leave and pointed to the house at the end of the street.

No one immediately knew where she had appeared from. She was a girl of about six years old, standing still in the middle of the sidewalk, dressed in an immaculate white dress, as if she had come straight from an elegant party.

Passersby began to stop. Some suggested buying her water; others, calling social services. She didn’t look like an abandoned child: her clothes were clean, her hair neatly combed. Yet she remained silent… until she whispered:

“I heard voices…”

An uneasy murmur ran through the group. Finally, someone decided to call the police.

Fifteen minutes later, a young sergeant with a tired look arrived on the scene. He bent down to her eye level and, in a soft voice, asked:

“Hello. What’s your name? Where are your parents? Why are you here alone?”

The girl stared at him and replied in a faint voice:

“The voices told me to leave the house.”

“What voices, honey?”

What he heard next chilled his blood.

„I didn’t see anything… I was behind the door. First, a very loud bang. Then, the voices said, ‘Go away. Or you’ll die.'”

He paused and, innocently, asked:

„Sir… what does ‘die’ mean?”

The sergeant swallowed, trying to remain calm.

„Where do you live?”

She extended an arm, pointing to a house at the end of the street. It had a small front yard, closed curtains, and seemed as peaceful as any other.

The sergeant moved forward. The door was ajar. He pushed carefully, entered, and took only a few steps… until he stopped.

A woman lay on the living room floor. Pale, motionless, with no pulse. No words were needed to understand what had happened.

The truth came out soon after: the father, blinded by a fit of rage, had killed his wife. Hearing the screams, the girl approached the bedroom door, but didn’t dare enter. Then, a voice—her father’s—cracked with panic and guilt, whispered to her:

„Go… run now.”

It was a desperate attempt to protect her from what she had just done. But she had heard and understood enough.

So, in her white dress, she went out alone into the street… toward strangers, hoping someone would listen.

And she survived.
She survived… even her own father, the man who should have been her greatest protector.
